To be in direct line within a sector in full expansion, Alpha Elektrotechnik launched in 1999 the development and production of Medium Voltage systems in railway electric distribution (traction), from 3 to 25kV.
The heard of the device: the jumper, a cable equipped with connectors "quick-coupling", which ensures distribution
|

of energy between motor coaches and cars, in particular the pendular and high speed trains.
Alpha Elektrotechnik masters one of the principal difficulties, which consists in reconciling flexibility and resistance in order to make it possible that the cable supports millions of torsion movements, resonance and extreme climatic conditions.

One train, one solution
For Alpha Elektrotechnik, the concept of flexibility also results in gaining solutions specific to each type of train:

As regarding to tractions, the production schedule of Alpha Elektrotechnik includes products in 3kV DC. and 25kV AC (connectors "quick coupling", cables jumper, complete assemblies of jumpers, cables of roof, terminations, etc.) Those can be delivered separately or as a turn-key solution complete line (tested on site).

R&D Traction: an evolutionary sector
It is in the field of the railway electric distribution that Alpha Elektrotechnik concentrates the essence of its efforts within R&D. With focus in reducing development costs it collaborates regularly with active partners in similar spheres of activities.

The high-speed trains constitute, typically, a market in full movement. Is Alpha Elektrotechnik able to keep a length in advance in this sector? As well in the middle and high voltage? Because the possibilities of research are similar to the measurement of the evolution techniques of the travelling railway material...
